Privacy policy

This explains what information IB Systems collects when you use this website or apply to become an IB, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

01Who we are

IB Systems is a business based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@theibsystems.com.

IB Systems is not a broker and does not provide financial, investment or trading advice.

02What we collect

When you apply to become an IB, we collect what you type into the form:

  • Your full name, email address and WhatsApp number
  • Where you are now, your community size and your goal
  • Your Instagram, Telegram or TikTok link, if you give one
  • Anything you write about your situation

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

If you become a partner, we will also process information needed to run your partnership, such as your sub-IB code, the trading volume of clients under your link, and your commission payments. We will explain this in your partner agreement.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

04Who we share it with

We share your information only with services that help us run IB Systems, and only as much as they need:

  • Netlify hosts this website and receives the application form.
  • Supabase stores partner accounts and dashboard data, and handles partner logins. We use its London (UK) region.
  • Our email provider stores the emails we send and receive.
  • Google Fonts supplies the website's fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
  • Our partner brokers, only if you become a partner and only what is needed to set up your sub-IB account.

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they protect it with safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

05How long we keep it

  • Applications that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Partners: for as long as the partnership runs.
  • Commission and payment records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.

06Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • Delete your information
  • Restrict or stop how we use it
  • Send your information to you or another organisation in a common format

Email us to use any of these rights. We will reply within one month. It is free.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to fix it first.

07Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you log in to the partner area, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay logged in. This is strictly necessary for the login to work, so it does not need consent. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
